York Lindy is thrilled to announce the celebration of World Lindy Hop Day on Saturday 18 May, 7:00-11:00pm at Clements Hall, Nunthorpe Road, York, YO23 1BW (a less than 15 minute walk from the train station)!
Join us for our celebratory World Lindy Hop Day social dance event featuring live music as well as some special dance performance from our local swing dancers!
World Lindy Hop Day (26 May) commemorates the birthday of Frankie Manning who was one of the original innovators of the Lindy Hop at the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, New York during the 1930s and 40s.
Come and celebrate all things Lindy Hop, listen to great music and have fun with other dancers from around the region and beyond.
Please reserve your ticket online in advance; we are not currently able to admit attendees on the door.
