Refund Policy

Where possible, we will aim to refund dancers in the fairest way possible at our discretion. You can help us, and your fellow dancers who might like a ticket, by letting us know via contact@yorklindy.co.uk as soon as you’re aware you won’t be able to attend an event.

We have limited capacity at our events, and for some events we try to make sure the lead and follow ratio is balanced. We also lose the value of your payment fee when you cancel. Therefore, our refund process is as follows:

One-off Events e.g. Workshops:

  • When you tell us you wish to cancel at least 7 days before the event, we will refund your ticket minus the payment processing fee.
  • When you cancel** less than 7 days before** the event, we will refund your ticket minus the payment processing fee **if we are able to re-sell the ticket to another dancer. **

Weekly Classes:

  • When you need to cancel attendance at a weekly class, we will transfer your ticket to another upcoming weekly class of your choosing. This must be within one month of the class you originally booked.
  • Weekly class tickets are only transferable to other weekly classes.
  • We will only offer a refund in exceptional circumstances - e.g. if you are injured and there is no prospect of you being able to attend an upcoming weekly class.

Courses:

  • When you tell us you wish to cancel your course pass at least 7 days before the first class of the course, we will refund your entire course pass minus the payment processing fee.
  • When you tell us you wish to cancel your course pass less than 7 days before the first class of the course, we will refund your entire course pass minus the payment processing fee at our discretion based on if we are able to re-sell the pass to another dancer and the lead/follow ratio.
  • If you are unable to attend any of the individual classes in the course due to illness and tell us before the class, we will refund your class ticket minus the payment processing fee. Please note, we are only able to refund one class per course due to illness on the day.

In All Cases:

  • If we need to cancel the event, we will refund your full payment.
  • Any refunds will be processed after the time of the event. We are an organisation run by volunteers, so please bear with us if it takes a little while to process your refund.
